Fundamentals of Psychosomatics in light of Psychosophy
Topic
The human constitution is a microcosm of the universe and its soul components are in a constant process of evolution, still in creation.
While the human body may be physically complete, the soul is in an ongoing state of development. Within each of us, opposing forces converge: body and spirit, past and future, thought and will, nerves and blood. All these forces meet in the human soul, shaping our feelings, emotions, relationships, and the future evolution of the soul.
Among the four primary dynamics of the human soul – Sensing, Thinking, Feeling, and Willing – only thinking is centred in the brain. The other soul functions are rooted throughout the entire body. Feelings are centred in the rhythmical systems of the cardiovascular and respiratory functions; Willing is grounded in the metabolic processes that operate unconsciously throughout our organism. Sensing relies on the peripheral sense organs that communicate with the central nervous system, eventually reaching the brain. In truth, the entire human organism can be understood as an ‘Extended Brain’, integrating these dynamics.
Psychophonetics and its Methodical Empathy – is the first method of counselling, psychotherapy and psycho-somatic healing that is based on a development of Rudolf Steiner Psychosophy (1910). Applied Psychosophy is the major theoretical foundation of Psychophonetics.
