Psychophonetics Institute International
Psychophonetics Institute International (PII) is a civil association registered in Slovakia since 2013, which operates through local schools. Its main task is to ensure the quality of education in the School of Empathy in Slovakia and abroad.
- Allows the opening and conducting of professional courses in Psychophonetics
- Supervises compliance with the ethical standards of the profession, study curricula and their development
- It issues a certificate of qualification of students, counselors, consultants and trainers
- It owns and manages the intellectual property rights of Psychophonetics and its transformations on behalf of its author – Yehuda Tagar
Through local schools, the Institute offers a wide range of educational opportunities, including professional diploma courses, professional and personal development short courses, public educational events and consulting services. PII organizes courses and consultancy not only in Slovakia, but also in countries such as the Republic of South Africa, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Romania and Great Britain.
Since 2015, Slovakia has been the international center of Psychophonetics and the main place of teaching after 25 years of operation in Australia, South Africa, Great Britain, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Previously, the management and teaching of Psychophonetics was provided by various institutions:
- including Persephone College in Great Britain (2007)
- Persephone Institute of Psychophonetics in Australia (2003)
- Persephone Institute of Psychophonetics in South Africa (2002)
- Persephone College of Philophonetics in Australia (1991)
The development, presentation and teaching of Psychosophy, applied Psychosophy and Psychophonetics was originally led by Yehuda Tagar as a private practitioner primarily in Australia since 1985.
The director of PII is Yehuda LK Tagar, the founder of Psychophonetics, and the executive director is Miroslava Tagar.
International Association of Psychophonetics Practitioners
- as the association for the regulation of the profession of Psychophonetics
- for upholding its ethical standards
- for the protection of the served public
- as advocates for Psychophonetics counsellors, psychotherapists, consultants, supervisors and teachers internationally, in the form of a non-profit association
IAPP was founded in 2008 in Cape Town, South Africa, with branches in Australia and later England. This organization was created on the initiative of practitioners in Australia and South Africa with the aim of promoting Psychophonetics and its benefits throughout the world. IAPP has long provided supervision, peer group meetings, professional workshops, professional development, as well as regular newsletters and website to support Psychophonetics. In 2023, after several years of informal activity, the IAPP was officially revived. The new executive committee and members from different countries are committed to continue the spread and development of Psychophonetics on a global level.
