Personal and spiritual development

Forgiveness is a healing, redeeming, life giving process, but only if it is real. Forgiveness as intention, duty, ideology, religious instruction or lip service ‐ is a misleading illusion, or a lie. It is certainly not an intellectual process, and the intention to forgive, while being a necessary component of it – is in itself powerless to affect a real change.

We are born with serious intentions for this life, of that I am sure. Two major impulses drive us human being throughout our life: one is the instinct and the desire to survive, like any other earthly animal; the other is the drive, the wish, the inner necessity to remember-discover the purpose of being born, the meaning, the task, the unique human potential that each of us comes to this life to fulfil.

‘We are the ones that we were waiting for’. The potential to become one’s own leader, teacher and healer lives in everyone today, waiting to be born into reality. We are all pregnant with this capacity, at least for the past 60 years. As with any birth - conscious effort is required and a skilled help is essential: a doula, a midwife.

A few days ago I gave a lecture on the topic of how to age well to the group of holocaust survivors in Bratislava, to whom I present various topics from time to time upon request, as I admire their heroism and spiritual resilience. The group includes people in their 80’s and 90’s, and a few years ago I would not accept such a topic of presentation to my elders. But now, in my mid-60’s I felt that I started to be qualified for it. After 30 years of counselling people from age 3 to 83 in more than 10 countries and recently becoming more aware of my own ageing process – I took up this challenge.

For my first Vitalita article of 2020 I chose a blessing: an act of conscious appreciation for all the human and natural resources that I have as a step in my own personal development, to share with you.

As a trainer of personal development with a holistic perspective it is my obligation to my students from time to time to step back from the details and to create a fresh picture of what the human being is from that perspective. Can a being have perspective upon itself? It is a good question.

In the previous two articles about ‘Chakras of Empathy’ I described the role of the further development of the Throat Centre as the foundation of Imaginative Perception and the role of the further development of the Heart Centre as the foundation of ‘Inspirative Perception’. This article is focused on the further development of the Solar Plexus centre as the foundation of ‘Intuitive Perception’

Empathy is the future of humanity, if humanity has a future. The human individual ‘I’ will not stop dominating the human soul and society. The old, given harmony between people in their tribes and with nature will continue to disintegrate. If it will not be replaced by a new capacity of mutual understanding and care of each other – egotism will inevitably dominate. That would lead to an assured destruction. A new capacity of human understanding is required. That is Methodical Empathy.
